The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
